Domains
Open groups of specialists developing openBIM solutions and standards to improve Romania's built environment.
buildingSMART domains are open groups of industry specialists who collaborate to improve the built environment by developing open solutions and standards. Each domain focuses on a specific context and, responding to industry demands, initiates projects — the main means by which standardisation work is officially carried out, per the buildingSMART process.
The domains are managed by steering committees made up of recognised industry experts. Each develops a user-oriented strategic roadmap, with projects that deliver the domain's programme for the benefit of the industry.
Besides ongoing communication throughout the year, the domains' open forums take place during the BIMcon conference, alongside recurring meetings.
